Another Successful Event at The 1845 Historic Elgin/Cottrell House Museum
Last night I had the second Holiday Event at, My Old Historic House. It was for a group of 10 lovely ladies having there Christmas Party. They are members of a ladies investment group. They had dinner, opened presents and of course took a tour. The evening menu was: Salad with apples, dried cranberries, walnuts and sweet Italian Dressing. Baked chicken breast on rice with a cheese sauce. Bundled green beans wrapped in bacon and mashed, spiced, sweet potatoes in orange rind baskets. For desert there was Chocolate rum cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy. Come any time. Sissy and I will be glad to throw you a beautiful party. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Happiness is friends, food and festivities. You're so blessed by having all these ladies in your life. Beautiful home and beautiful decorations, I love all again a big success. Maria
It looks wonderful! Your house is so beautiful. You have a very good Orb caught in that last picture, too - just in front of the portrait :D
I love your old fashion style of decorating with greenery and berries! How fun looking back thru your older posts, so much to see! Love the red and white check curtains, hats and scarves on the porcelain dogs, glass shelves in the window and more and more! We use to live down the street from the old John Wornall House in K.C., Mo. and I was a Dolcent there. Both homes are the same style. I am going to put your blog on my favorite list of blogs to follow. I will look you up on the map and some day maybe be close enough for a tour of your lovely home! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your doggy.
