One More Time!

Well it is officially Spring, but some how some one forgot to tell Mother Nature ,here in Missouri, We are getting it good and hard. Started a couple of hours ago and already about 6 inches of heavy snow. Come down steady and fast.  I am over it. The poor jonquils are having such a hard time. They are up and have had several snow blankets on them in the past few weeks. I hope this does not mean we will not have our beautiful spring. I look so forward to it. But, what can we do? Smile and get out the snow shovel. You all come when you can. I'll leave the lights on and Sissy will always meet you with a jump and a kiss. Richard from My Old Historic House.

These photos look like late January! That darn ground hog, he should be put in the witness protection program, or turned into a stew! Warm up at the end of the week, they say for here. We are expecting a snowstorm tomorrow. xo

Nice to see you here Richard. We still have lots of snow here too but that's to be expected as we are much farther north than you. Hopefully spring will be beautiful when it does arrive.

Here in Kansas City we got 9". Although as a child we had a few snowy "Easter services". WHOA I'm hoping that's not this year.

Hang on just a little longer.

Oh my! However, on the bright side, this extends the season of hot chocolate and marshmallows, indoor picnics and snuggly blankets on the sofa. Summer will be here soon enough. Thank you for the photos, Richard. Now I really want a nice cup of hot tea! Get the kettle on!

Oh, my...I guess I won't complain that it was a little cool here today...only around 70. I do miss snow, but you seem to have gotten more than your fair share this year. I hope Sissy Dog has snow boots!!! Give her a pat on the head from me!

I just found your blog today. I came over from Curtains In My Tree. Your home is beautiful. Sissy is so cute. We had 12.6 here, not too far from the St. Louis airport. Branches on our big spruce tree were broken. Thankfully, most of the snow is gone today. Good riddance. I am looking forward to seeing pics of your home in the spring.
