Second Time Around.

Well what a great way to start off the new year, with a bad chest cold. Seems I am subject to them. Where do they come from? What causes them? All I know it takes about three weeks to totally get over one. This is the second week and it doesn't seem to be edging away. Hasn't left me to willing to do a whole lot.Guess I have to just get up, and go on with myself.
But, there has been some good News, this New Year. The Editor from Victorian Homes Magazine has emailed me and she wants to do another article about ,my Old Historic House. It seems a lot of people, and I am sure you bloggers were among them, have emailed and wanted to see more. It makes sense for her, as they already have a lot of photo's that they didn't use before. I think this article will mainly feature the bed rooms. She has not said for sure, but that is the questions she's been asking. Also, she hasn't said at this time, but I think it will be soon, maybe the March issue. I looked and looked to find before pictures, and I have sent them to her, so that is where we are right now.It is always exciting to see your home in a magazine. It has been a dream of mine for many years, now it's happening again. WOW!!! I guess I am greedy, but, I wish another magazine would pick it up, especially Bliss Victoria. I have been working with the magazine, Old House Interiors, but they have not committed at this time. That's the way it seems to go, hear nothing and then out of the blue, you get a call and the shock sets in.
I have taken a few pictures of  my two guest bed rooms to share with you allll today. I know I have shown all these before, but just in case, you missed them, where we go again. I have been so lucky lately to pick up so many new followers. It really is exciting, and I love hearing from all of you.So maybe these will be new to you.
Please try and come by any time for a real tour. I will leave the lights on and Sissy Dog will always meet you with a jump and a kiss. I will let you know, as soon as I know, when the magazine will be on the stands. Have a great day, it sure is beautiful here in middle America, Missouri, 60 degrees and the sun in shining.

You will be in my prayers, dear one.
I could not be happier that your home will be featured, once again, in the illustrious pages of Victorian Homes Magazine. The before and after photos are such a testament to your talents.
My year has begun horribly as well. I lost another friend and my heart is breaking, breaking, breaking...

Hugs to adorable Sissy...

I hope you are soon feeling better. I am predisposed to getting these horrible chest colds, so I can empathise completely.

My favorite bedroom was the one where your niece took my picture standing by the white fireplace. I believe it would be the upstairs east bedroom . I have that picture on my blog.

Richard so sorry you have a darn cold. Put some vicks on your chest a warn towel, doesn't that sound like our Grandmothers? and drink hot lemon tea, and chicken noodle soup.

I am so happy you will be a magazine star again.I agree your house should be in Victorian Bliss magazine also. I hope you get over to see me this year

Hugs to Sissy

Richard,
Hoping you are much improved soon.
Dare I say that “any” magazine would be fortunate to be able to show case your home on their pages. Whole issues could be dedicated to just your exquisite collections and display there of, before presenting volumes of your dynamic rooms and their décor assemblage. Congratulations on being published once again. - gary

Richard,
Congratulations about being in the magazine again! Maybe you should try eating yogurt to boost your immunity. I did a post about it recently. I also just put up a post with the photo of your cow creamers. I put a link to your blog. Hope you are feeling better soon.

It is amazing how this period of style never goes away. Even with all the 'white' in today's style there is still a love for the dark Victorian period. I was so in love with the Victorian period and then I fell out of love, now I'm back in love with it..I will for sure BUY the magazine when your home is featured...
Happy New Year and hope you feel better soon..

So sorry to hear you have been sick. Drinks lots of Orange juice and eat chicken soup....it's amazing but it really works to shorten the length of time to get over a cold.

I'm so excited to hear you house will be in Victorian Homes again!!! I can't wait. I LOVE LOVE the border in your one guest room, the blue and white with roses in the ovals. It would be perfect for my bedroom. Do you know the manufacturer....do you know if it is still available??

Feel better soon!! And give Sissy Dog a pat on the head from me!!

First off, I am SO sorry to hear about your cold -- so many people are succumbing to a similar long drawn out ailment around here. Knock wood, I'm OK so far.

But Secondly -- WOW. Another magazine article, that's so much fun and so exciting. Your house just is amazing ... I don't know what I'd like to visit more, you or the House, or Sissy Dog! All three, preferably!

A Happy New Year to you, filled with all good and wonderful things, and LOTS more magazine exposure. You are amazing.

OH you poor thing, I do hope you get better soon-now don't mess around and let it turn into pneumonia!I could not find a Victoria magazine anywhere when your other feature was in it. I do hope I can find one of these magazines when you are next featured! Sometimes I feel like I am living in Hooterville, with no decent bookstore or magazines. Kiss Sissy for me-no never mind she might catch your cold!

Your home always amazes me! How exciting for you to be recognized for all your talents and hard work.
I told my friend Rhonda that at 2012 goal was to drive up to see her, go shopping and come by for a tour.
Loving the weather, although a little snow would be nice.

Feel better, I am just getting over a cold myself. It lasted about two weeks, and it usually hits around December-January. I think it is viral, in every sense of the word. How great that your house will be featured! Let us know more when you find out so I can run out and buy the magazine and tell everyone "That's my friend, Richard's house!"

First I'm sending Healing Energies and Prayers your way for a complete Recovery! I too began the New Year with Respiratory problems that became quite alarming so I will be seeing my Eastern Medical Doctor very soon... suseptibility to those things seems to come more with the aging process... but old age is still a privilege not afforded to many so I'm not complaining either! *winks*

Next, CONGRATULATIONS on being featured again in the Magazine! Now some of the Book Stores here are starting to carry it again, guess enough of us complained about not being able to find it!? *LOL* Your Transformation of your Beautiful Historic Home is beyond amazing and obviously a Labor of Love worthy of publication in several Magaines and Books that appreciate Classic Styling and a Collection of Antiques that always blows me away!!!

I'm so excited to hear that VICTORIAN HOMES will do another feature on your house. I wrote to them and asked for pictures of the bedrooms; no doubt many other people did, too. And they listened. Woo-hoo!

VICTORIA is a pretty magazine, but their features are too short. Just a tantalizing tease, but never enough for this greedy reader. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get into OLD HOUSE INTERIORS instead. It's a terrific magazine.

Meanwhile, thanks for sharing some before and after shots of your rooms. They are so beautiful.
