New Blog Post Today. Christmas Transformation.



    I just posted a beautiful blog about a House transformed for Christmas, and it might not show upon dash board as I pushed the wrong button yesterday and it showed up then, since it has the same title, I am sending this out so you will know.     I am having another look through this grand house I can't believe I got to step back in time by sleeping in one of the upstairs bedrooms with the pocket doors about 12 feet tall or was it 14?

    you always have the best post Richard and you did such a great job rearrnging the grand treasures in Marilyn & Haines house

    I adore them.

    I really fell in love with them when I had a big rust-red corduroy one, a Sam Moore chair, that I bought at a warehouse sale in Pittsburgh. That chair and I had a beautiful friendship, and it was my "snuggle the doggies" chair.

    Especially my "heart" dog, Ailsa. After she passed in 2005, I would sit in that chair, and I could FEEL the warm weight of her little body in my lap. We lost that chair in a flood -- it was in our basement waiting to go to the upholsterer and was ruined.

    I haven't found the chair to replace it yet, so maybe this Baker chair will become my new favorite!
    AFTER it gets new upholstery. The old is in great shape, but it's rather goofy looking.

    Oh Richard, that Sissy dog is adorable! Your house looks gorgeous with so much C'mas beaudftiful decorations and collections, and yet it's so inviting. wow! I love your collections of C'mas items, just so lovely, I could stay here for ever.
